Media, Scandal, and Gossip Girls … O’ MY!

Published by sarabella at 12:36 pm under Writing Edit This

Meow! Talk about TV burning up the airwaves… just look at this steamy promo for the Wb’s Gossip Girl!  Sokay, I’ve been writing about the media affect on today’s society, and from the looks of it… I’ve good reason.

From the New York Daily to local townie reports, the glamorization of scandal hovers while one also wonders what the future entails for news-junkies everywhere. With tongue-n-cheek repartee, there is seriousness to the invention of downloadable media microchips.

Kay… maybe not.

But when you can have celebutante drama and gossip-on-the-go text-messaged to cell phones, it’s beginning to sound a lot like a creepy epidemic. Alright, alright… so the international broad appeal reaching the average citizen with televised notes on a scandal is an all-inclusive vacation into the how’s, when’s, who’s, where’s, and why’s of the world beyond our living rooms and high school hallways.  Editorials, comics, classifieds, reviews, and advice columns… you name it and they’ve managed to engineer the chronicle. But what is it about celebritism, disgrace, and stalkarazzi torture that keep even the harshest self-confessed anti-limelighters interested?
With that said, the escalating recognition sprung within the drama-laden world of reality television certainly has a way of illuminating a pitch-perfect pathway to success.

And omfg… who doesn’t want that?

Take The Hills for example… Saving more for later, of course.
