Inevitably, accessories are like curling up with an exceptional read… they love you no matter the persistent maltreatment.  Good books generally present a conundrum of stains, highlighted side annotations, and watermarks despite the creased, bruised, and broken spine… but evidently, this triumphant tome is well read.  Good bangle… doesn’t want to commit social suicide from an era of cabin fever while your resilient berating and occasional disregard has it locked away inside the retirement section of the jewelry hoarder because it’s simply too nostalgically-amazing to ever be rid of it. 

Either way, both are like old friends.

Weird comparison, yes, I’m aware, but seriously give me a break.  I’m a writer and this is what we do… at day’s end we consume, suppose, and inhale a vast assortment of metaphors, metaphorically speaking.  Ha, it’s not so esoteric if you think about it. 

Oh, and in case I failed to mention (nonchalantly) on this site, last night I received the exciting news that an article I’d recently written for the teen market is set for publication. Having just barely swallowed (!) the editorial revisions with an about face… GRIN… it should debut in October!
